DOH chief Herbosa resigns; Pujalte eyed as successor

MANILA, Philippines — Health Secretary Teodoro Herbosa has submitted his courtesy resignation to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to “take care” of himself. Marcos has yet to accept Herbosa’s resignation. Controversies have marred the health chief’s four-year term. A source told the Inquirer that Marcos is reportedly considering veteran orthopedic surgeon Dr. Jose “Brix” Pujalte Jr.
