Duterte’s ICC arrest linked to criticism of 2025 budget, Singson says

MANILA, Philippines —  The arrest of former President Rodrigo Duterte stemmed from his criticisms of the 2025 General Appropriations Act (GAA), particularly his claims that it contained “blank” items, according to former Narvacan, Ilocos Sur mayor Luis “Chavit” Singson. Duterte was served an arrest warrant from the International Criminal Court (ICC) last year for crimes
