, /PRNewswire/ -- The International Exhibition EastFood (IIFEX) and EastPack Surabaya 2025 officially opened on June 12, 2025, at the Grand City Convention Hall in Surabaya, and will run until June 15, 2025. This exhibition features over 180 exhibitors, including 30 Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Throughout the four-day event, more than 20,000 visitors are expected to attend and explore opportunities for collaboration, business development, innovation, and investment in the food and packaging sectors.

In his opening remarks, Daud D. Salim, Chief Executive Officer of Krista Exhibitions, stated that "EastFood (IIFEX) and EastPack Surabaya serve not only as showcases for products and technologies, but also as strategic platforms for connecting industry players across sectors and borders. The exhibition is further enriched with a series of engaging programs, including live cooking demonstrations by renowned chefs such as Chef Bashiruddin & Chef Feina, Chef Rudy, Chef Heru, Chef Merry, Chef Risna & Chef Niken, Chef Dafi & Chef Tian, Chef Maolana, Chef Achen, Chef Andik, Chef Long, Chef Muto, Chef Forest, and Chef Lusia. The Chef Secret Culinary Studio Workshop provides an educational platform that merges global innovation with local culinary heritage. In the session "How to Win at Pastry - Culinary Competitions," participants gain firsthand insights from internationally acclaimed chefs on strategies for achieving success in pastry competitions.

Among the culinary highlights are the unique "Gelato Sushi" by Chef Caesar and Chef Andy, winners of the Gold Medal at the Gelato Dessert Asia 2024, along with the delicate "Japanese Roll Cake" made without emulsifiers, and the elegant "Bika Ambon Mousse Cake", which fuses traditional Indonesian flavors with refined French mousse cake techniques. One of the key features of this exhibition is the Business Matching session, designed to directly connect food, beverage, and packaging industry players with potential distributors, strategic partners, and investors.
