MANILA, Philippines — In line with its goal to enable more Philippine organizations to embrace AI with ease and confidence, ePLDT, the ICT subsidiary of PLDT, teamed up with Singapore-based Straits Interactive to deliver a powerful no-code Generative AI (GenAI) solution that allows quick and secure deployment of AI apps without the need for specialized technical teams.
“We want to make AI adoption less intimidating and more empowering. Through this partnership, we aim to deliver secure, no-code solutions that could help enterprises innovate with confidence, regardless of their technical expertise,” said Amil Azurin, chief commercial officer of ePLDT.
By leveraging Straits Interactive’s Capabara, ePLDT assures customers of accelerated AI deployment without complexity. This Capabara platform allows business users to create AI chatbots without writing a single line of code, enabling domain experts to transform their expertise into user-friendly AI applications. It considerably shortens time-to-market and eliminates the need for building their own AI/ML engineering teams.
One of Capabara’s standout GenAI applications is DPOinBOX.AI, now part of ePLDT’s AI offerings. It is an AI-powered assistant tailored for data protection officers. It helps automate privacy risk assessments and compliance tasks, ensuring that organizations can harness the power of large language models (LLMs) without compromising data protection standards.
Capabara also includes a knowledge system that allows users to securely upload and query their own policies and standard operating procedures using retrieval augmented generation. This means employees can instantly access tailored guidance based on their own company policies and procedures.
In addition to providing the technology, ePLDT and Straits Interactive offer end-user training, consultancy, and support to ensure that organizations not only deploy AI but, more importantly, adopt it meaningfully and sustainably.
“Together with ePLDT, we are enabling organizations to thrive in a business landscape defined by GenAI, providing them tools and services to build GenAI capabilities without being bogged down by technical challenges,” said Alvin Toh, chief marketing officer of Straits Interactive.
“We are also creating a trusted AI ecosystem that combines the key pillars that make AI adoption inclusive for all – governance, enablement, and innovation,” added, Edwin Concepcion, Straits Interactive country manager for Philippines.
Moreover, the partnership ensures that customers can benefit from multi-LLM architecture and customizable knowledge systems, allowing them to adapt to evolving AI trends without vendor lock-in. This positions them to innovate continuously and stay ahead of the curve.
