MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Erwin Tulfo has filed another set of complaints related to the alleged bagmen of former lawmaker Zaldy Co before the Office of the City Prosecutor of Mandaluyong.

In a statement on Wednesday, July 8, Tulfo said he filed complaints against detained former lawmaker Mike Defensor, Jeron Valderama, Bernard Gumban, lawyer Levito Baligod, incumbent Quezon City Councilor Ranulfo Ludovica and lawyer Virgilio Garcia.

According to Tulfo, the complaint stemmed from allegations made during the unauthorized "Blue Ribbon" hearing-turned-press conference at Doublegem EDSA Garden Events Place on June 16.

During the press conference, the 18 alleged bagmen claimed they had delivered bags or suitcases containing money to different lawmakers.

The press conference was supposed to be a Blue Ribbon Committee hearing organized by the Cayetano bloc.

On June 8, Tulfo also filed complaints against some of the 18 alleged bagmen over the unauthorized Blue Ribbon Committee hearing allegedly led by now-detained Sen. Rodante Marcoleta.

The former soldiers, who claimed to be Co's security aides, alleged that Tulfo received suitcases from the former lawmaker at his residence in San Juan.

Defensor is currently detained in Quezon City after being charged with plunder by the Office of the Ombudsman.

He is a co-accused of Marcoleta over alleged undeclared campaign donations during the 2025 elections.
