MANILA, Philippines — Thirty-four public utility vehicle (PUV) operators must explain their failure to serve commuters and instead attend the Iglesia ni Cristo rally in Quezon City.
Issuing show-cause orders, the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) directed the PUV operators to explain why their permit to operate should not be suspended or canceled.
Bus and utility vehicle express operators were reportedly seen at Tuesday’s rally.
The LTFRB set the hearing for July 9.
