ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines — Three members of a family were killed while a relative survived in an attack by unidentified assailants in this city on Friday.

The fatalities – Rodel Espinoza, his wife Jenny and their daughter Jenrose, 19 – died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Police withheld the name of the survivor.

Probers said that neighbors were awakened by the burst of gunfire shortly before 9 p.m.

Investigation showed the victims were asleep when the gunmen barged into their house in Barangay Bolong and shot them.
