CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY — A 73-year-old farmer was arrested in Bukidnon for allegedly raping a 59-year-old woman, the police regional information office said on Tuesday.
The suspect, identified in the police report only as Fred, was apprehended on the strength of a warrant of arrest for the crime of statutory rape docketed under Criminal Case 45831-25, dated July 2, with no bail recommended.
A complaint has been filed against the suspect for allegedly raping a 59-year-old woman with disability inside the victim’s house sometime in August 2024.
The victim’s niece reportedly caught the suspect in the act of molesting her aunt and reported the incident to her father, who filed the criminal case against the suspect.
A police tracker team found the suspect, listed No. 3 on the region’s wanted list, in San Fernando, Bukidnon, on July 11.
