(UPDATE) The Provincial Board of Canvassers has proclaimed the winning candidates in Bulacan at the Hiyas ng Bulacan Convention Center in Malolos City, Bulacan on Tuesday.
Among those proclaimed were Gov. Daniel Fernando and Vice Gov. Alexis Castro, who posted landslide victories against their opponents.
Fernando won his third term as governor after beating his political rival Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado.
On Monday, Fernando garnered 1,177,893 votes while Alvarado received 227,194 and Salvador Violago received 226,204 votes. He also won by a big margin against the former governor in 2022.
Castro, meanwhile, received 1,360,020 votes while Elmer Paguio only has 154,644 votes.

Also proclaimed on Tuesday were Rep. Danny Domingo of the First District, Rep. Tina Pancho of the Second District, Rep. Cholo Violago of the Third District, Rep. Salvador Pleyto of the Fourth District and Rep. Agatha Paula Cruz of the Fifth District.
The Provincial Board is composed of Michael Aquino and Romina Fermin for the First District; Erlene Dela Cruz and Dingdong Nicolas for the 2nd District; Raul Mariano and RC Nono Catsro for the 3rd District; Kat Hernandez and William Villarica for the 4th District; Ricky Roque and Cesar Mendoza for the 5th District; and Jay De Guzman and Art Legaspi for the 6th District.
Mona Ann Campos, Provincial Election Supervisor and chairman of the Provincial Board of Canvassers, led the proclamation of winners.
Fernando and Castro thanked those who supported them in the polls and promised to continue serving the people of Bulacan.
For his third term in office, Fernando said the provincial government will focus on the flood problem in the province where preparations are underway to build a coastal road-flood control from Bataan to Manila.
Also included is the construction of an additional dam that will absorb excess water during the rainy season.
