UAAP champions FEU Baby Tamaraws will represent the country in the NBA Rising Stars Invitational in Singapore.

MANILA, Philippines—FEU-Diliman will carry the Philippines’ flag in the boys’ division of the 2026 NBA Rising Stars Invitationals in Singapore.

That alone fills coach Allan Albano with enough motivation heading into the regional high school tournament.

“If I’d rate our excitement from one to ten, we’re at a nine,” he said.

“It’s our first time to join the NBA Rising Star Invitationals, and we expect to gain a lot from this tournament. We’ll be playing international schools.”

The Baby Tamaraws will be bringing their championship pedigree to Singapore after winning the UAAP Season 88 boys’ basketball title last year. Nazareth School-National University (NUNS) represented the Philippines last year.

Aside from seeing his boys take on multiple schools, Albano is also eager to see his squad fare against Australian schools like Berwick College and others from China, Japan and South Korea to name a few.

“I expect the kids to compete well, not just against the Australian schools but the whole tournament, It’ll be a good experience and exposure to play against international teams.”

“I believe in the FEU program. We can produce some international-level players.”

The NBA Rising Stars Invitationals begin on Tuesday at OCBC Arena.

South Korea’s Yongsan High School won the tournament last year.
