Fintech firms hatch data-sharing system to fight fraud

MANILA, Philippines – The local fintech sector is laying the groundwork for an industry-led fraud-intelligence sharing system aimed at curbing scams and helping lenders differentiate good borrowers from bad, with full deployment targeted before 2028. Lito Villanueva, founding chair of Fintech Alliance Philippines, the country’s largest organization of financial technology companies, said the pilot phase
