FULL INTERVIEW: Barbie’s Cradle on long-awaited return, making new music together

Barbie Almalbis, Kakoy Legaspi, Rommel dela Cruz, and Wendell Garcia of Barbie's Cradle sit down with Rappler to talk about the band's comeback, evolution, and new releases

MANILA, Philippines – After over two decades, Barbie’s Cradle has returned with new music and a reunion concert to boot.

With Barbie Almalbis on vocals, Kakoy Legaspi on guitars, Rommel dela Cruz on bass, and Wendell Garcia on drums, Barbie’s Cradle was among the bands that paved the way for Filipino alternative rock in the late ’90s and early 2000s.

Together, the members have released three albums: Barbie’s Cradle (1999), Music from the Buffet Table (2000), and Playing in the Fields (2003).
