MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya love team Fyang Smith and JM Ibarra will lend their voices to Korean film "Picnic" dubbed in Tagalog.
Star Magic announced on social media that the two former "Pinoy Big Brother" housemates will join showbiz veterans Nova Villa, Ces Quesada and Bodjie Pascua in the movie.
"Lotte Entertainment and South Korea’s 2024 Drama Film ‘PICNIC’ will be tagalized and dubbed by Ms. Nova Villa, Ms. Ces Quesada and Mr. Bodjie Pascua together with our very own PBB Gen 11 housemate #JMIbarra and Big Winner, #FyangSmith," Star Magic wrote.
Fyang shared her experience on the challenges of dubbing recently at the Star Magic Spotlight press conference.
"Kapag nagda-dub, kailangang pumasok sa ibang mundo... kami mismo ang nag-aadjust upang maipakita ang tamang emosyon nila," she said.
The event highlighted the pair’s journey in the industry and their feelings about being two of the rising artists of today’s generation.
Looking back on their iconic run in "PBB Gen 11," Fyang and JM have come a long way from being housemates to becoming two of the industry's most promising young stars. Their undeniable chemistry and compelling personalities first captured audiences inside the "Pinoy Big Brother" house, where their genuine bond and individual strengths shone through.
