CITY OF MANILA — In conjunction with the celebration of Ease of Doing Business Month, the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) awarded the city government of General Trias the Seal of eBOSS Compliance on May 22, 2025, at the Manila Hotel in Ermita.

Mayor Luis "Jon Jon" Ferrer IV, Vice Mayor Jonas Labuguen, and City Business Permit and Licensing Office head Romel Olimpo accepted the Glass Plaque Seal from Secretary Ernesto Perez, director general of ARTA.
General Trias received recognition for its initiatives to further facilitate doing business in the city using modern technology.
This award recognizes local government units (LGUs) that have successfully implemented and are fully compliant with the fully automated eBOSS system, which streamlines business permitting and licensing processes.
According to Perez, the award aims to encourage LGUs to fully automate their business permitting and licensing systems and make it easier for businesses to operate.

It also promotes the implementation of the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 (RA 11032), which mandates LGUs to establish eBOSS systems.
"We congratulate our Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) led by Mr. Romel Olimpo for their successful implementation of eBOSS which has resulted in faster and more effective transactions and processes for our citizens, particularly business people, which is why we are being awarded the aforementioned prestigious recognition," said Labuguen.
