SEN. Bong Go reiterated his commitment to infrastructure development in Mindanao, citing its crucial role in driving inclusive growth, improving the quality of life and boosting local tourism that would ultimately create more livelihood opportunities for residents.
"As a public servant who believes that government services should be brought closer to the people, I will continue to promote infrastructure projects that will help improve the lives of every Filipino, especially in the provinces," said Go in Filipino during his visit to Lanao del Norte and Misamis Occidental on April 2.
"Lanao del Norte and Misamis Occidental are close to my heart, so I will continue to support them so that Mindanao can develop even further," he added.
During his visit, the senator also conducted an inspection of the picturesque Panguil Bay Bridge.
This major infrastructure project is part of the Duterte administration's Build, Build, Build program. The bridge is expected to significantly improve connectivity between Lanao del Norte and Misamis Occidental.

Go praised its construction and emphasized its potential to spur regional economic activity and ease transport for residents and travelers alike.
On the same day, the senator witnessed the completion of two major government projects in the province — the newly completed Legislative Building in Tubod and the super health center in Lala.
Both initiatives were realized with his strong support as vice chairperson of the Senate Committee on Finance, underscoring his dedication to providing accessible services and improved facilities in local communities.
Go's legislative and infrastructure support has touched almost every corner of Lanao del Norte — from major cities like Iligan to smaller municipalities such as Munai and Nunungan.
Among the notable initiatives is installing solar-powered streetlights along the Santa Cruz–Salong and Magpatao–San Isidro Upper Provincial Roads in Baroy and Lala.
In coordination with Gov. Imelda Dimaporo, these projects aim to provide safer and more accessible transportation, especially at night.
In Bacolod town, Go supported the construction of farm-to-market roads in Barangay Babalaya, Poblacion, Bununi, Mate and Kahayag, vital for enhancing agricultural productivity and ease of trade for farmers.
Similarly, in Baroy, developments include improving the evacuation center and building public parks and plazas, making the town more resilient and community-friendly.
In Iligan City, Go facilitated the rehabilitation of the Pindugangan-Mibolo, Mibala and Olas roads, the construction of flood control structures along key rivers and several multipurpose buildings in barangay such as Mahayahay, San Roque, Villa Verde and Ditucalan.
He also backed the development of ecotourism parks like the Tinago Aqua Eco-Park and Dalipuga Children's Park, further demonstrating his vision of combining infrastructure with sustainable tourism.
In Lala, in addition to the new super health center, Go supported flood control and drainage systems in Barangay Pinuyak and the completion of solar-powered streetlights, boosting public health access and disaster preparedness in the town.
"I will continue to advocate for infrastructure projects that prioritize the needs of the people. My goal is a more orderly, safer and more prosperous Mindanao," said Go, who is running for reelection as senator.
