MANILA, Philippines — Digital lender GoTyme Bank is looking at a potential initial public offering (IPO) in three to four years as it focuses on doubling its customer base and significantly expanding its business scale, according to its top executive.
GoTyme Bank president and CEO Nathaniel Clarke said the group wants to be “much greater in scale” before going public, citing both market conditions and the need to build a business that can attract international investors.
“As a group, we have 20 million customers. We would like to double that, I think, before we list,” Clarke told reporters on the sidelines of the 2026 Bankers Night.
Clarke said the group is already close to hitting key financial milestones but wants to grow much bigger before tapping public markets.
“In terms of the shape of the business, in terms of net operating income, we’re close to a billion US dollars,” he said. “And more than double the revenue. We’re about $315 million in annual revenues between the two markets (South Africa and Philippines). And we want to feed well over a billion.”
He added that size matters for an international listing. “We think that you have to be a very, very big business to matter for international markets,” Clarke said. “Because we’re multi-country, it makes more sense to list in New York, in Nasdaq, or in any stock exchange.
For this year, Clarke said the bank’s outlook remains strong, driven by steady customer acquisition and new product launches.
GoTyme is also partnering with local brokerage DragonFi for its stock trading feature in the bank’s mobile banking app. The rollout will be phased, with some users already having access.
In terms of user growth, Clarke said GoTyme is targeting another three million customers this year, after ending 2025 with 8.3 million users. That would bring the total to around 11 million by the end of 2026 or maybe 12 million if the lender does well.
He added that growth would be supported by expanding the bank’s kiosk network and existing distribution channels.
