MANILA, Philippines — Ride-hailing app Grab has suspended the Transport Network Vehicle Services (TNVS) driver over his alleged lewd remarks to actress Xyriel Manabat on social media.

In his post , the driver made suggestive comments in the caption of a photo he had with Manabat. Other online users also made suggestive remarks.

The Kapamilya actress said she will not tolerate the driver’s remarks and would take action.

“I will not let it slide because that should not be entertainment in any form and I hope that the platform or the app should do something about it,” Manabat said.

“Because it’s not petty, it’s not something that any woman or anyone, not just women, should experience on a daily basis,” she added.

Grab Philippines said the driver involved has been placed under preventive suspension.
