Haidilao Hot Pot is expanding its presence in the Philippines with the opening of its second branch at Robinsons Galleria on Jan. 31, 2025. Located on Level 2 of the Robinsons Galleria Veranda, the new restaurant brings the internationally renowned hot pot chain closer to diners from Greenhills, New Manila, Mandaluyong, San Juan, Pasig, and Quezon City.
Founded in Jianyang, Sichuan province, in 1994, Haidilao has grown into a global brand with hundreds of locations. It is known for its high-quality ingredients, a variety of flavorful soup bases, and attentive customer service. The hot pot experience is designed to be interactive and social, as diners cook their own selections in simmering broth at their table.
A customizable hot pot experience
Haidilao allows diners to choose up to four soup bases per table. Options include the signature Sichuan spicy broth, tomato, mushroom, and a Filipino-style bulalo. The menu features a wide range of ingredients, including thinly sliced beef, shrimp, fish fillets, vegetables, tofu, and meat dumplings. Staff members are available to assist in cooking, ensuring that each ingredient is prepared correctly.
Diners can also personalize their meals with Haidilao’s sauce bar, which offers an extensive selection of condiments and ingredients for an additional P99. Guests can mix and match flavors to create their preferred dipping sauces.
More than just a meal
Beyond its menu, Haidilao is known for providing unique customer service. While waiting for a table, guests can enjoy complimentary services such as manicures, hand massages, and snacks. Families with children can take advantage of a designated play area, and expectant mothers receive small gifts such as baby socks. Seniors and persons with disabilities are also given special attention.
The Robinsons Galleria branch features a spacious dining area with 284 seats and 10 VIP rooms. Six of these VIP rooms are located in a semi-enclosed outdoor section with a view of the EDSA Shrine. The rooms can be combined to accommodate up to 48 guests, making them ideal for private gatherings.
Entertainment and cultural performances
Haidilao’s signature entertainment offerings are also part of the dining experience. During peak hours, diners can watch a traditional Sichuan opera face-changing performance. A noodle-making demonstration, where chefs skillfully stretch and twirl fresh noodles tableside, will be introduced soon.
Haidilao’s commitment to service includes small details that enhance the dining experience. Guests are provided with aprons to protect their clothing, hair ties for long-haired diners, and even cleaning wipes for their phones.
