House to invite oil firms amid concerns over ‘cartel-like’ behavior

MANILA, Philippines — The House of Representatives mega panel tackling the fuel crisis will invite oil firms to be questioned over fears of cartel-like behavior, Marikina Rep. Miro Quimbo said on Friday. The lawmaker’s concerns arose after he questioned, during the House’s Legislative Energy Action Development (LEAD) hearing last Wednesday, whether the scheduled Tuesday fuel price
