MANILA, Philippines — Streaming platform Disney+ is gearing up its yearend release of a new reality survival series pitting against each other over 70 fashion icons from Korea.

The series with the working title "Style War" will see 72 individuals including hobbyists, college students, pensioners influencers, amateurs and professionals make use of shears, pins, steamers and sewing machines for the chance to become Korea's next fashion star.

Contestants will compete against each other in several high-stakes challenges which will slowly eliminate competitors.

"Reply 1988" and "My Roommate is a Gumiho" star Hyeri will host the series while the panel of expert judges includes model actors Hong Jin-kyung and Bae Jung-nam, brand designer Jung Wookjun, and fashion stylist Choi Hee-seung, who is better known as Stylist Unnie.

Kim Na-hyun, Jung Jong-chan, and Kim Hye-in of Shijak Company — the studio behind popular Korean reality show "Single's Inferno" — will produce while Young Shin-hye of "Kian's Bizarre B&B" (another recent hit reality show) fame is the credited writer.
