MANILA, Philippines — Korean star Hyun Bin won his first Best Actor prize at the most recent edition of the Baeksang Arts Awards recognizing excellence in Korean film, television and theater.

Hyun Bin was recognized for his role in "Made in Korea," marking his fourth award at the annual ceremony.

He is a two-time winner of Most Popular Actor (for "A Millionaire's First Love" and "Crash Landing On You") and a Daesang or Grand Prize recipient in the television category for "Secret Garden."

Triumphant in the Hyun Bin's counterpart category was Park Bo-young — her third win from four nominations — for "Our Unwritten Seoul," whose director Park Shin-woo won Best Director.

"You and Everything Else" won Best Drama, "The Wonder Coach" beat "Culinary Class Wars" for Best Entertainment Program, and "Our Shining Days" won Best Educational Show.

"The Dream Life of Mr. Kim" star Ryu Seung-ryong is this year's Daesang winner, having previously won the prize in the film category for "Miracle in Cell No. 7."

Seung-ryong's co-star Yoo Seung-mok won Best Supporting Actor while in the female category the winner was Im Soo-jung of "Low Life."

"Bon Appétit, Your Majesty" star Lee Chae-min won Best New Actor opposite "Aema" star Bang Hyo-rin. Best Variety Performers went to Kian84 and Lee Soo-ji.

Rounding out the television awards were "You and Everything Else" writer Song Hye-jin for Best Screenplay and "The Seasons" composer Kang Seung-won for Best Technical Achievement.

Film, stage

Over in the film category, "The King's Warden" star Yoo Hae-jin won the Daesang, his second Baeksang after a Best Supporting Actor win for "The Pirates" movie.

"No Other Choice" expectedly won Best Film while "Good News" scribes Byun Sung-hyun and Lee Jin-seong won Best Screenplay.

Yoon Ga-eun won Best Director for "The World of Love," Park Joon-ho won Best New Director for "3670," and "The King's Warden" received the Gucci Impact Award.

The lead acting awards went to "The Ugly Star" star Park Jeong-min and "Once We Were Us" star Moon Ga-young while the supporting awards went to Lee Sung-min of "No Other Choice" and Shin Se-kyung of "Humint."

Singer-actor Park Ji-hoon won Best New Actor for "The King's Warden" as "The World of Love" star Seo Su-bin won the female counterpart, and finally Best Technical Achievement went to "Pavane" composer Minhwi Lee.

Ji-hoon also won the Naver Popularity Award with "Bon Appétit, Your Majesty" star Yoona.

In the stage categories, "Jellyfish" won the Baeksang Theater while "Arang" won Best Musical, with "Tank of Fire" producer Chang So honored with the Young Theater award.

"Prime Facie" actor Kim Shin-rok won Best Acting, Junsu won Best Performer for "Beetlejuice," and "Evita" choreographer Seo Byung-goo won the Creative Achievement award.
