When his parents, Scott (Levi) and Teresa (Fahy), learn that Austin (Jacob Laval) is both autistic and has brittle bone disease, they initially worry for their son's future.

The Independent Critic, meanwhile, was all praises, especially of director Gunn.

"'The Unbreakable Boy' is yet another winner from Jon Gunn, easily one of the most authentic and gifted faith-based and faith-inspired filmmakers working today," they said. "With this film, he captures a story worthy of being told and told well. Gunn delivers and my guess is that both faith-based and secular audiences will love it."
