Aside from being an award-winning actress, Aiko Melendez is also a politician who currently serves as a fifth district councilor of Quezon City.
With years of experience in politics, is Aiko open to running as Quezon City mayor?
During Monday's episode of "Fast Talk With Boy Abunda," the actress turned politician straight up answered "no."
"No. That's a very straight answer. No. I don't see myself in the administrative area, I'm more on the legislative," she said.
Aiko's political career started when she won as Quezon City's second district councilor in 2001. She held that position for nine years until 2010.
Aiko then ran for Quezon City councilor in 2022, this time in the fifth district, and won. She sought reelection this year and won for the second time.
