MANILA, Philippines — Actress Janice de Belen admits that she prefers not to interfere when it comes to her children's relationships and lets them make their own decisions.

In an interview with Julius Babao, Janice said that she does not meddle with the love lives of her children, including her daughter Kaila Estrada.

She said she trusts her children's decisions and does not want to control their lives.

“I will have to trust them, love them, get along with them. Kasi malay ko ba, baka mamaya sila na nga talaga 'yung mag-aalaga sa anak ko,” she said.

When asked for her advice for Kaila about love, Janice's answer was simple.

“She’s 30 years old. Basta guard your heart,” she said.

She also explained that her parenting style focuses on giving her children freedom and independence.

“I don’t coddle my children,” she said.

Her statements came as Kaila's name continues to be linked to her "Incognito" co-star Daniel Padilla, although there has been no direct confirmation from the two about any romantic relationship.

On Tuesday night, April 28, eagle-eyed social media users noticed that Kaila posted a picture of herself and Daniel hugging each other on an Instagram story with the background song "Hallelujah" by Justin Bieber. Daniel turned 31 last April 26.
