MANILA, Philippines —NBA champion and Basketball Hall of Famer Jason Kidd and WNBA champion Lauren Jackson will headline the first NBA House Philippines, set for August 29 to 30 in Makati City.
Kidd, a 10-time NBA All-Star, is visiting the Philippines for the first time along with Jackson, a two-time WNBA champion and three-time MVP.
The two-day event will offer fans free access to interactive basketball and entertainment activities, including meet-and-greets with Kidd and Jackson, live musical performances and skills challenges.
It will also feature a display of NBA memorabilia, including the Larry O’Brien Trophy and autographed jerseys and basketballs.
Fans can also watch live WNBA regular-season games, including the Washington Mystics-Los Angeles Sparks game on August 29 and the Toronto Tempo-Phoenix Mercury matchup on August 30.
The weekend will also include a Jr. NBA/Jr. WNBA basketball clinic for boys and girls from the YMCA Philippines, a WNBA segment featuring on-court activities and a Her Time to Play clinic, and an invitation-only 5-kilometer fun run.
NBA House Philippines follows previous editions held in Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, United States and United Kingdom.
