She was awarded with the prestigious Global Force Award, making her the first K-pop soloist to earn this recognition.
During her speech, Jennie said, “Words cannot express how thankful I am," she said in her acceptance speech.
"This award is a tribute to every woman who dares to dream, and create, and shape the world with her vision," she said. "Women are a powerful force and when we come together, we can uplift each other with every step."
She added, "It is such an honor and I feel proud to receive the Global Force Award here, among so many beautiful women who inspire others, I gain inspiration from women around the world and I hope to continue being someone who can positively influence many people.”
She also thanked her fellow BLACKPINK members Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo "I want to take a moment to thank my BLACKPINK girls. Without them, this journey would have never happened. If you're watching, I love you," she said.
