Jericho Rosales and his brother Jeremiah.

MANILA, Philippines — Former actor and singer Jeremiah Rosales has clarified that his brother, actor Jericho Rosales, should not be blamed for his personal struggles, saying he understands why his older sibling may have grown tired of helping him.
In an interview on the latest episode of “Ogie Diaz Inspires,” Jeremiah addressed public speculation about Jericho’s alleged failure to help him after his story about his personal hardships became a topic of discussion online.
Jeremiah previously drew attention after recounting in an interview with broadcast journalist Julius Babao how he spent a month hiding in Bicol. He also shared that he had worked as a construction worker before returning to his family because of the difficulties he faced.
Jeremiah said he did not consider his life circumstances his brother’s responsibility and acknowledged that his decisions had contributed to his situation.
“Hindi naman niya ako pananagutan na, e. Kumbaga, choice ko na ’yon, e,” he said.
He also recognized that people might question why he had experienced such difficulties despite having a successful and financially comfortable older brother.
“Siyempre, 'yung mga tao lang iisipin nila bakit ganu’n? Mayaman si Kuya (Jericho) ba’t ako pinabayaan ng ganu’n, ’di ba?” he added.
Jeremiah stressed that he was no longer a child who could depend entirely on his brother, noting that Jericho had already helped him many times.
“E, hindi naman na ako paslit, ’di ba? Kumbaga, sa sobrang dami na niyang naitulong sa akin, siguro napagod na rin ’yong tao kakatulong,” he said.
Despite their strained relationship, Jeremiah said he did not harbor deep resentment toward Jericho and acknowledged his own shortcomings.
“Kahit galit sa akin si Kuya, hindi malaki ’yong tampo ko sa kaniya. Naging magulo akong tao, e,” he said.
In June 2026, reports surfaced that Jeremiah was supposed to be admitted to a rehabilitation facility amid concerns about his condition. He was reportedly able to leave before the admission process was completed. —Video from Ogie Diaz Inspires YouTube channel
