Jessy Mendiola expressed her unwavering support for her husband, Luis Manzano, as he trails the ongoing vote count for Batangas vice governor in the 2025 midterm elections.

“One of the greatest gifts is knowing that God’s plans are always more beautiful than your disappointments. HE will sustain you during your hardest battles and save you from harm’s way because only HE knows what is meant for you,” Jessy wrote in the caption of her Instagram carousel post.

Her post included a video of a serene view and a faith-based inspirational graphic that said, “When the weight of uncertainty lies heavily on my shoulders, I glance at the stars and envision far beyond what I see – the complexity and enormity of the universe. How humbling it is to know that compared to it all, I am nothing but a speck of dust in this vast universe the Lord has created. And, though my troubles may feel as enormous as the universe itself, I remember God is much bigger than all of it; in His presence, I rest.”

She reposted the quote on her Instagram Stories and tagged Luis.

“Still so proud of you, [Luis], I love you,” she wrote with a green heart emoji.

Luis shared the Instagram Story on his account and wrote, “Love you” with three kissy face emojis.

Based on the partial unofficial 2025 election results as of May 13, 12:46 p.m., Luis currently ranks second for the vice governor position with 552,044 votes.

The Batangas Provincial Board of Canvassers has proclaimed incumbent Dodo Mandanas as Vice Governor. She has 804,225 votes, according to partial and unofficial election results.

Meanwhile, Luis’ mom, Vilma Santos-Recto, is still leading the vote count for Batangas governor with 640,073 votes.
