MANILA, Philippines — In an intertwined path to happiness, two individuals find lies and betrayal at their doorstep seeking to tear them apart.

"Love Is Never Gone" starring Joshua Garcia and Ivana Alawi has officially been given a release date on Prime Video, premiering exclusively on May 8.

The romance drama produced by ABS-CBN Studios and Dreamscape Entertainment is the first Filipino series to be shot and set in Morocco, where Ivana's father is from.

Joshua plays Teo who falls victim to Ivana's Yana, a thief also known as "Chameleon" who steals in order to care for her sickly mother.

"What begins in anger turns into love, forged through shared loss and sacrifice," goes a synopsis for the show. "However, Yana's ties to a crime syndicate lead to betrayal and Teo's wrongful imprisonment, leaving him convinced she destroyed him."

Pardoned years later and back in the Philippines, Teo is rebuilding his life and learns that Gem, the wife of Jameson Blake's Ace, appears to be Yana herself.

In his attempt to enter Gem's world, Teo uncovers secrets about Ace's family and the reason sacrifices were made for his freedom.
