Girl group Katsye on the red carpet of the 2026 Grammy Awards

MANILA, Philippines — Swiss singer Manon Bannerman tempered any talks that she would be leaving Katseye following "positive" discussions with the labels behind the girl group.

Manon is currently on a temporary hiatus from Katseye for her health and well-being, which partially explains her exclusion from the girl group's recent promos.

However, rumors about her possibly leaving the group swirled when the singer changed her bio on Instagram, taking out any mention of Katseye and simply put "mademoiselle manzanita."

The artist broke her silence on the issue for the first time since going on hiatus with an update on the social media platform Weverse.

"Thank you so much for all the love and support you've been sending my way," Manon said. "I'm really grateful for the patience and kindness everyone has shown during this time."

She shared that Katseye's labels HYBE and Geffen are having "positive conversations" with her and she feels supported by the agencies.

"I'm happy and I'm healthy. I'll share more soon. Thank you for always being there for me," Manon's message ended.

Since Manon's indefinite hiatus began last February, Katseye has continued performing as a quintet, including at three Lollapalooza events.

It remains uncertain if Manon will rejoin the group for their performances at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival later this month.

One act to look out for at Coachella is the Nation's Girl Group BINI who will become the first P-Pop act to perform at the popular event, and maybe even have the possibility of Katseye's Filipino leader Sophia Laforteza joining them onstage.
