Katseye's Manon skipping Coachella performance as hiatus continues

MANILA, Philippines — Swiss singer Manon Bannerman will not be joining her fellow Katseye members when the global girl group performs at the 2026 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.

This as Manon continues to be on a temporary hiatus from group activities for her health and well-being.

Katseye announced last February that Manon would step away for the time being hence why the singer has not appeared in recent promos especially for new single "Pinky Up" which the group is expected to perform at Coachella.

HYBE, the label that handles the group with Geffen, told The Korea Herald that "Manon remains on hiatus" after inquiries about her joining Katseye's Coachella performance.

Rumors about Manon possibly leaving Katseye swirled recently when she changed her bio on Instagram, taking out any mention of Katseye and simply put "mademoiselle manzanita."

The singer, however, assured fans that she had "positive conversations" with HYBE and Geffen, reiterating the support she feels from both agencies.

Katseye formed after the 2023 reality competition series "Dream Academy with Manon, Daniela Avanzini, Lara Raj, Megan Skiendiel, Yoonchae Jeung and Filipino leader Sophia Laforteza making the cut.

Some of the group's best-known songs include "Gnarly," "Touch," "Gabriela," "Debut," "Gameboy" and "Internet Girl."

One act to look out for at Coachella is the Nation's Girl Group BINI, who will become the first P-Pop act to perform at the festival. and maybe even have the possibility of Sophia joining them onstage.

Both girl groups are performing on the first day of Coachella 2026, April 10 (morning of the 11th in the Philippines).
