MANILA, Philippines —  Booking platform Klook has partnered with e-wallet giant GCash in coming up with a travel card that Filipinos can use to gain all-in-one access to trip essentials and services.

Klook is coming out with the GCash Klook Travel Card that travelers can avail themselves of to receive a variety of exclusive perks.

The card, powered by Visa’s global network, offers the most competitive foreign exchange rates and zero transfer fees when paying for anything abroad.

Moreover, Filipinos may monitor the forex rate and their total spends abroad through GCash, as the app converts every purchase into peso. This flexibility also aims to give travelers the peace of mind by immediately computing how much a transaction costs in peso.

Klook general manager for the Philippines Michelle Ho said the card offers exclusive benefits to first-time holders.

Klook is giving out vouchers worth P1,000 for airport transfers and P350 for Klook’s e-SIM to promote the card.

Moreover, users will receive an annual P1,000 voucher for hotel bookings and up to five-percent discount for Klook activities five times yearly.

Travelers who apply for the card are upgraded automatically to the gold tier of the Klook Reward Program, which extends complimentary e-SIMs and issues more than P6,000 in travel coupons.

The card will be issued this month, and Filipinos may sign up for the waitlist through Klook to get first dibs once applications are opened.

Ho said the first 10,000 customers could apply for the card for an introductory price of just P250.

Ho expects the card to be in demand as Filipinos are looking to travel more in 2026.

Barbara Dapul, chief operating officer of GCash’s operator G-Xchange Inc., advised Filipinos to treat the card as their key to improving travel experience overseas. The card can be used to pay for transactions in over 200 countries, even without cellular signal.

Air travel in the Philippines appears nowhere close to slowing down, with traffic poised for new highs this year on the strength of domestic and international travel.

Based on data from the Civil Aeronautics Board, Philippine air travel has reached 46.84 million passengers as of September, covering 78 percent of last year’s 59.91 million.
