Kylie Padilla revealed her reaction when her aunt BB Gandanghari transitioned as a woman.
The Sparkle star sat down with BB for an interview, where she was asked what she felt when her aunt finally transitioned.
"You know my first honest, real reaction? Oh my God, I'm so proud," Kylie said.
According to the actress, she was only 17 years old when she found out about her aunt's transition.
"May ganun din ako na ang hirap magpakatotoo. Parang ang dami kong ang hirap hanapin 'yung sarili mo. I don't know how to voice out who I am, especially at 17, you're only discovering who you are," she said.
"And then, someone in my family who's going through something like this and was brave enough to be who they truly are and say it to the public," Kylie added.

Kylie said that she found her Tita BB's story an "inspiring one."
"I'm happy for her," she said. "At least ngayon, she can be herself now. Right. F--- everybody else. 'Yan 'yung gusto kong attitude."
"So, when I saw you again, I'm like, oh my gosh, that's it. And she's claiming it now."
BB, formerly known as Rustom Padilla, revealed that she was gay in "Pinoy Big Brother" in 2006. Three years later, she came out as a transgender woman.
She is now based in the United States and currently pursuing a degree in entertainment business management at the Los Angeles Film School. —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
