MANILA, Philippines – A job and livelihood fair served over 1,000 jobseekers from Malabon City and nearby areas in northern Metro Manila on Jan. 24, 2026 at the Malabon Citisquare Mall.

The activity, dubbed Serbisyong Pang-TRABAHO, aims to address unemployment and underemployment among Filipino workers by providing access not only to job vacancies but also to livelihood programs, skills development training, and a one-stop shop for employment requirements and benefits. The initiative is led by TRABAHO Partylist Rep. Johanne Bautista.

According to Bautista, the program has partnered with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) to ensure that all partner-employers offering local and overseas employment are legitimate and licensed by the government to conduct recruitment activities.

“At para po sa kapanatagan ng lahat, sa ilalim po ng pangangasiwa ng DOLE at ng DMW, masisiguro po ninyo na walang scam at tunay ang mga trabaho na nandito ngayon,” Bautista said.

The group was joined by celebrity advocate Melai Cantiveros-Francisco, who shared that she was moved by the story of an applicant who had previously been hired through a job fair, only to later find out that it was run by illegal recruiters and scammers.

The project was supported by Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval, former Congressman Ricky Sandoval, Councilors Maricar Torres and Payapa Ona, as well as Malabon City Public Employment Service Office Manager Luziel Gutierrez.

Now on its third rollout, Serbisyong Pang-TRABAHO previously held similar job fairs in the cities of Navotas and Caloocan last year.
