MANILA, Philippines – The Senate holds session on Monday, May 18, the day that it is supposed to be convened into an impeachment court for the trial of Vice President Sara Duterte, and amid rumors of another leadership change.
In setting the May 18 date for the convening of the impeachment court, Senate President Alan Peter Cayetano — a day after the House of Representatives submitted the aricles of impeachment to the Senate — said that the upper chamber will follow the Constitution and assured the public that “there will be no delays.”
