MANILA, Philippines – The House of Representatives resumes its investigation into the proliferation of “fake news,” in its first session on the subject after the 2025 elections.
Overall, it is already the fifth hearing of the so-called tri-committee, and potentially the last, as Congress is set to adjourn sine die on June 11.
The past hearings saw the panel slap contempt citations against pro-Duterte bloggers, such as former anti-communist task force officials Lorraine Badoy and Jeffrey Celiz, and columnist Sass Sasot.
