MANILA, Philippines – The International Court of Justice will deliver its advisory opinion on the climate crisis on Wednesday, July 23.

The World Court’s opinion is already considered as potentially “one of the most consequential legal rulings of our times,” according to the Center for International Environmental Law.

The legal opinion will answer what states are required to do to address climate change and the legal consequences they face should they fail to meet these obligations.
