MANILA, Philippines — A lone bettor in Camiling, Tarlac won the P13.8-million prize of the Mega lotto 6/45 draw on Christmas Eve, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office said.
PCSO general manager Melquiades Robles said the bettor bought the winning ticket from an outlet along Quezon Avenue in Camiling town, betting on the number combination 27-24-12-18-42-03.
The Mega lotto draw on Dec. 24 carried a jackpot of exactly P13,829,620.
Robles said 56 other bettors won the second prize. Each can claim P32,000.
Lotto winnings of more than P10,000 are subject to a 20-percent tax under the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act or TRAIN law.
The Mega lotto 6/45 is drawn every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
