COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A municipal councilor was killed in an attack by unidentified assailants in Paglat, Maguindanao del Sur yesterday morning.
The fatality, identified as Samoan Kitalok, was talking to his neighbors in front of his property in Barangay Poblacion when he was killed.
The assailants fled on a motorcycle.
Relatives expressed belief that the killing was connected to the victim’s involvement in law enforcement programs of the local government.
