Superman is flying all over the world. His first stop: Manila, Philippines.
The cast and crew of the upcoming “Superman” movie is having a world tour with Manila as the very first stop on June 19, they announced in a social media video.
New Superman or Clark Kent himself David Corenswet, Lois Lane actress Rachel Brosnahan, and Lex Luthor actor Nicholas Hoult, are set to fly over, along with the film’s writer, director, and co-producer James Gunn and DC Studios head and co-producer Peter Safran.
During their visit, the team will meet their Filipino fans in a fan event at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall on June 19.
Ticketing details have yet to be announced.
“Superman” opens in cinemas and IMAX on July 9. It establishes the iconic hero in the new DC Studios cinematic universe headed by Gunn and Safran.
According to Gunn, "Superman" has become more than a movie for him. "It’s a story about humanity, about what it means to be a hero in a world that doesn’t always make it easy to be one.”
He added, “I can’t wait for you to see it. The heart, the action, and the incredible performances from David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, Nicholas Hoult and the entire cast.”
The film also stars Edi Gathegi, Anthony Carrigan, Nathan Fillion, Isabela Merced, Skyler Gisondo, Sara Sampaio, María Gabriela de Faría, Wendell Pierce, Alan Tudyk, Pruitt Taylor Vince, and Neva Howell.
