Actor and first-time candidate Marco Gumabao has officially bowed out of the 2025 congressional race in Camarines Sur's 4th District, conceding defeat and expressing gratitude to those who supported his political aspiration.

In a post on Instagram, Marco expressed his gratitude for all his supporters.

"Maraming, maraming salamat po. 💙

He also pledged to continue serving the public, "Ang serbisyo at malasakit, hindi lang nasusukat sa puwesto. Maraming salamat, Partido."

In October 2024, Marco filed his candidacy for representative of Camarines Sur's fourth district under the National Unity Party, aligning with the Villafuerte clan's slate for the 2025 Philippine general election.
