Matibag to be named new NBI director – Palace

MANILA, Philippines —  President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. is set to appoint Atty. Melvin Matibag as the new director of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Palace press officer Undersecretary Claire Castro announced on Thursday. Matibag will replace acting NBI Director Atty. Angelito Magno. Castro did not provide information on when Matibag will officially take office.
