The Maya Black Credit Card has been unveiled, offering premium perks for mobile-first consumers. Its available through the Maya app, promising fast and instant virtual card issuance with its physical card delivered after.
The card uses Maya’s transactional data, AI-driven credit scoring model, and other alternative data sources to approve users that some traditional banks may overlook. For context, even applicants without a credit history can work towards an application that’s fully integrated in the app with no paperwork.
The process is entirely digital from application to approval as well. This means that things like billing, expenditure tracking, and support are all overseen in-app. Card details are then stored within, where users can freeze or replace their cards in real-time.
Maya Black delivers the following premium benefits as well:
-
- Maya Miles earnings from every transaction, tracked in real time. These can be spent as currency across Maya’s merchant network and converted into airline miles (Similar to PAL’s Mabuhay Miles) and redeemed for other travel rewards.
- 3,000 bonus miles upon activation of physical card with a PHP 5,000 spend within 60 days.
- Access to airport lounges via DragonPass. This includes PAGSS and Marhaba lounges in NAIA.
- Advanced security with card numbers only visible in-app. Again, this also lets users freeze and replace their cards in real-time.

Communication graduate, closet cynic, and kid at heart. Duane is a rare person to find, quite literally. He often takes to himself but has proven his mettle in tech media with his quick wits. Well, the portfolio of scriptwriting, web content, and public relations help too, we suppose. As a homebody, he often spends his time on the streaming platform Twitch or ‘farming’ gaming clips with friends. He is also an avid fan of round glasses and anything relative to blueberries.
