MANILA, Philippines — Property giant Megaworld Corp. is pioneering a new residential concept which is expected to generate around P6.5 billion in sales within its 462-hectare Paragua Coastown ecotourism community in Palawan.
Megaworld said its third residential development in Paragua Coastown called Santé Residences Palawan is targeted to be the first WELL-registered residential property in the Philippines.
“Being the first to pursue WELL Residential Certification in the country, our vision is to offer a home for the future residents of Santé Residences Palawan nestled in the world’s best island within an environment that nourishes the mind and body,” Megaworld Palawan head of sales and marketing Javier Romeo Abustan said.
The 14-story development is designed to adhere with the WELL Residential certification standards, a globally recognized benchmark for designing and operating developments that put a premium on wellness implemented across 10 key concepts.
The categories include air quality, water, nourishment, light, movement, thermal comfort, sound, materials, mind and community.
“We are excited to pioneer this new residential concept in the country through Santé Residences Palawan at Paragua Coastown. We designed this development to be a sanctuary that goes beyond aesthetics by integrating elements of nature and the science of living well in every space,” Abustan said.
Santé Residences Palawan will offer a total of 460 units in varying layout types and sizes. It will be the third residential development by Megaworld in Paragua Coastown, following Paragua Beach Village and Oceanfront Premier Residences.
The project is scheduled for completion by 2031.
Aside from residential developments, Megaworld said a pair of 11-story hotels are now under construction in Paragua Coastown.
Savoy Hotel Palawan and Paragua Sands Hotel will offer a combined 617 hotel rooms that are seen to help further boosting tourism in the locality.
Megaworld said these developments are vital to the continued emergence of San Vicente as the next big tourist destination in Palawan.
“As Megaworld continues to scale its ecotourism community complete with world-class hospitality facilities – including its own shophouse and boutique hotel districts – Paragua Coastown is expected to provide a huge boost to tourism in San Vicente, Palawan, a town known for the 15-kilometer Long Beach, the longest stretch of white-sand beach in the Philippines,” the company said.
