Meralco cuts power rates by P0.36 per kWh in December

MANILA, Philippines – Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) will bring down its rates by P0.3557 per kilowatt-hour (kWh) in December, citing lower generation and transmission charges for the month. In a statement Tuesday, Meralco said the decline in generation charges—typically the largest component of the monthly bill, was the primary driver of the reduction this month.
