Is CJ Opiaza about to make history as the Philippines' first Miss Grand International queen?

In the wake of Rachel Gupta's exit as Miss Grand International 2024, MGI founder Nawat Itsaragrisil posted a video of first runner-up CJ, captioned with a cryptic phrase.

"Right person and real queen coming soon," Nawat said in his Instagram caption.

Nawat's post comes amid growing speculation about who will officially inherit the Miss Grand International 2024 crown.

In the comments section, CJ received an outpouring of congratulations from fellow beauty queens and fans online.

"Finally! You did it [CJ]. Congratulations! First MGI Queen from Philippines!" Samantha Bernardo said.

"Knew it since the start! Our queen [CJ]," Dia Mate said.

Miss Grand Philippines also posted a teaser video, writing "Being a queen isn't just about outer beauty—it begins within. Stay tuned!"

Should CJ be formally crowned, she would make history as the Philippines' first-ever MGI titleholder.
