Mike Phillips cleared by Fiba to play as local for Gilas Pilipinas

MANILA, Philippines—The Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) announced on Saturday that Mike Phillips is now eligible to play as a local for Gilas Pilipinas. Phillips’ reclassification as a local is a shot in the arm for the Philippines in future tournaments. He was part of the Gilas team that reclaimed the Southeast Asian Games gold
