The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) said the increase would bring the new daily minimum wage rate in Mimaropa to P455.

MANILA, Philippines — Minimum wage earners and household workers or kasambahay in Mimaropa and Zamboanga peninsula will receive an increase in their daily pay starting Jan. 1.
The National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) said the increase would bring the new daily minimum wage rate in Mimaropa to P455.
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) approved an increase of P25 in the daily minimum pay in companies with more than 10 workers, and P51 for those with fewer than 10 employees.
Starting Jan. 1, the monthly minimum wage for kasambahay will be P7,000, as provided under the new wage order approved by the RTWPB.
In Zamboanga peninsula, minimum wage earners will receive the first and second tranches of the salary increase starting Jan. 1 and June 1, respectively.
The new daily minimum wage rate for workers in the non-agricultural region will be P439 and P426 for those in the agricultural sector.
