The exhumed body of the Chinese national was immediately brought by officials of the Police Regional Office-Bangsamoro Autonomous Region to a mortuary for extensive post-mortem examination.

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A Chinese national earlier reported missing was found dead in Datu Piang, Maguindanao del Sur on Wednesday.
The victim, identified as Shang Lai Hong, was found buried in a shallow grave in Barangay Masigay, according to Brig. Gen. Jaysen de Guzman, Bangsamoro police director.
The victim was hogtied and his body bore gunshot wounds, probers said.
A village resident led police to the area where the victim was buried.
Investigation is ongoing.
