Montalban in Rizal declares state of calamity

MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Montalban, Rizal, declared a state of calamity on Monday, Aug. 10, amid heavy to intense rains brought by the enhanced southwest monsoon. The local government said in a Facebook post that the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council recommended the declaration, with Mayor Ronnie Evangelista leading the
